You are supposed to bill your one line like normal then add another charge for your waste, with Ndc and all. Put the JW only on the 2nd charge for the waste.

Yes we are billing multiple units if the J1010. It hasn’t been enough time to see what Medicare will do with ours. Our clinics don’t keep testosterone in house any more but when they used to we never had a problem getting paid for multiple units that I can remember.

Yes you would still have to report the Ndc number of the vial you are using. But my manager is saying you would not use the jz even for a single dose vial with this J1010. I am not sure about the jw for waste. I cannot wrap my head around this. We are going to try some without the modifier and...

J1010 has replaced J1020, J1030, J1040 as of 4-1-24. J1010 is for 1mg, if you give 40mg, you would bill a quantity of 40. The price should be per 1mg. If that makes sense. But my manager is saying that we would not add the JZ to the J1010 if it is a single dose vial bc J1010 does not need the...

My manager says that J1010 would not need the JZ modifier, I dont know about the JW. But I just cant wrap my head around that. As it is based on the NDC number to indicate if it is a single dose vial. I would like to know others thoughts as well. I am going to send some without it and see.
