    Wiki Incident to, billing Medicare

I am in IL and NGS is telling me we cannot bill with a PsyD as supervising physician over our therapists, social workers. They are telling me PsyD are non physician providers.

    Wiki Incident to

Can you bill incident to with a PsyD as a supervising physician? We have been doing this and NGS is now telling us it does not meet requirements, because CMS does not recognize PsyD as physicians. I am new to BH billing. Our credentialing guru states that is correct. The billing company states...

    Wiki Multiple Procedure Denial

Per dermcoder, the 12032, 11102 and 11103 need 59 modifier. So the original excision does not, but additional procedures require 59 modifier. If new to dermatology, I highly recommend dermcoder for help double checking when you have questions. Our practice pays for a license for us and it costs...

Wiki E/M codes bundled to procedures

17000 and 17003 or 17004 always go out with L57.0. The examples I am looking at have 99213 25 with D22.0 and L82.1, 99213 25 with D22.9 and L82.1 and 99212 25 with L81.4. They are all billed with E and M code first followed by procedures. Aetna has told me they are bundling the office visit with...

Wiki E/M codes bundled to procedures

We are having issues with Aetna and UHC bundling e/m codes to procedures. Specifically they seem to bundle with 17000. We are using modifier 25 on E/M code and there are different diagnosis codes associated with both. I have reviewed Aetna policy and it does not show this as bundled. I am still...

    Wiki telehealth

With PHE ending, I am reviewing our telehealth policy. The recent Derm World magazine indicates that we will not be able to bill telehealth visits for new patients but then states in another area of article that we can until the end of 2024. Does anyone have a good source for a definitive answer?

    Wiki Chemical Peel

My boss seems to think that chemical peels for acne can be billed under acne surgery code 10040 and most insurances will pay. We would just be doing chemical peels not using hydro-facial machine. I have a coworker from another derm office that bills out silk peels with hydro-facial machine and...

Wiki Full body skin check as preventative

I am new to derm and my manager is asking about billing full body exams as preventative and an E/M code if they find something. I have been researching and it looks like a derm specialty office should be billing E/M codes. But all the information I am finding is dated. She believes this is new...
