    Correct. All my doctor is doing is using the Gamma Probe. Someone else is injecting the radioactive dye. A fellow coder suggested that I should bill for the mapping since the physician is using the gamma probe to find the lymph nodes that he will be removing.

    Yes, you bill Medicare. As long as the PCP is not employed or paid by Hospice, you will file the appropriate CPT code along with modifier GV. If Medicare denies it, you can call them and ask them to re-open the claim with the modifier.
