Hi!
I work in a chiro office and we have a chiropractor and two massage therapists on staff. Our current EHR system creates a claim for every treatment note that is completed. Occasionally, we have a patient that recieves an adjustment on 2 regions (98940) and the chiropractor will complete his notes and then the patient will see the massage therapist for manual therapy on a seperate region (97140-XS) and the therapist will complete their note. Both procedures are required to be billed under the chiro's NPI. Our EHR system creates 2 seperate claims for the same date of service. Can you create 2 claims and submit to insurance for the same date of service or does this need to be on one claim? Thanks.
